“This funny recap for the year was a perfect reminder that life has phases and is full of changes.”

Jake Heaton

When I sat down to write this newsletter, I honestly wasn’t sure where to start. The end of the year always feels like a blur, and trying to put the right words together in the middle of all the wild days isn’t easy. Then notifications from a group chat with some friends started blowing up my phone as everyone started sharing their 2025 Spotify Wrapped lists. My buddies were sending their stats, hours of music they listened to, podcasts and books they finished, and one guy was trying to quietly have us look past how many times he played Taylor Swift’s new album.

And then I opened mine.
Top song: Hot Potato by The Wiggles.
Followed closely by Let It Go from Frozen.
Guess who has a 2.5 year old girl running their life?

This funny recap for the year was a perfect reminder that life has phases and is full of changes. My listening list from 10 years ago looked way different than today and I’m sure it will look even more different 10 years from now. It was a fun reminder to slow down, enjoy the moment you’re in and look forward to what lies ahead. Just as my list changes, so does our company and our lives every day. New technology comes out (I promise I didn’t write this AI, but I could have…) new team members bring fresh perspectives, new equipment is added, new locations have joined, new opportunities arise, and new challenges hit us every day.

So as we close out the year, I hope you find a few moments to recap what this year has brought to you and your teams. I hope you can take a few moments to do your own reflection. In the midst of your own chaos, I hope you can step back and see that we’ve accomplished some amazing things as a company this year. I hope you can celebrate those wins and prepare for what is next.

And if your Spotify Wrapped looks anything like mine, you’re not alone and it’s okay. The cold never bothered me anyway…

Employee Spotlight

Chele Jones

Account Support Representative

Chele is an absolute rockstar on our team. She does a little bit of everything to support the Helena crew, from entering orders and quotes for customers, to handling vendor payments and promo accounting, to keeping our monthly team potlucks organized and running smoothly. If something needs to get done, Chele is the one who jumps in. She’s a steady, reliable presence and brings a level of accountability we all depend on in the middle of our busy, fast-paced work.

Outside the office, you’ll usually find Chele spending time with her dog, cheering on our local hockey team, or rooting for the Broncos (arguably the most important hobby on this list). And if you ever want to hear about a unique project, ask her about the blanket she knits, adding one row every day based on the daily high temperature. The level of dedication that it takes is impressive.

Ashley Miller – Development

Customer Service Representative

Grant perfectly embodies our core value of Evolving“We seek continuous improvement and innovation!”

Ashley continues to showcase our company core values, specifically development. Ashley is a CSR for our team and has grown over time with the company to become an invaluable face for our walk-in customers. Thanks to Kaitlin’s help, she has completed all levels of the CSR training and continues to develop her skills and abilities to hit goals and continue to build her knowledge. We offer such a wide range of products, and it takes time to learn what all we can do, but Ashley continues to have a “bring it on” mentality and is always looking for ways she can learn and develop her skills to better assist our customers and her teammates. Ashley is a joy to work with. Originally from Tennessee, we’re lucky to have had her find a new home in Montana and with our AG team.

Equipment Spotlights

in-house embroidery services

At Helena, we’re proud to offer in-house embroidery services powered by our fleet of 10 single-head embroidery machines. This capability allows us to decorate a wide range of corporate apparel, including hats, dress shirts, jackets, golf bags, and even luggage. Whether you’re outfitting a team or fulfilling a customer request, we’re here to help you deliver top-quality embroidered products.

We’re nearing the final stages of full integration into Corebridge to make the order entry process easier and aligned with our ordering process for all other items produced in our centers. We see embroidery as a totally unique offering that we have in Helena and know that we have capacity to help fulfill corporate apparel work for other location. Think healthcare, financial services, safety/workware, and other companies looking to brand their employees.

For more information or to learn how to place an embroidery order, reach out to Jake at jakeh@alphagraphics.com. We look forward to working with you!

Project Spotlights

St. Peter’s Health Christmas Gifts

Every year, we embrace Christmas in July and get an early jump on Christmas items. This summer, Sam and our team assisted the St. Peter’s Hospital team with their employee gifts for all of their employees. We determined their per piece budget and then curated a few items within that budget to pitch to them for their gifts. We love the saying in the promo/apparel world that “specs write checks” and on this project in particular, that proved very true. Our team was able to put together some embroidered samples of different garments for their HR department to take throughout the hospital for employees to try on and gather sizes for the order. By starting early, that added time allowed for the employees to get exactly what they wanted and also allowed our team to have enough production lead time to easily handle this sizable order during the busy holiday rush. This job ultimately turned into a 2,200 piece order with two decoration locations and a six figure job! We’re in the final stages of sewing and can’t wait to load up a U-haul full of garments to deliver to the hospital staff, all while donning embroidered Alphagraphics Santa hats. This job is the perfect reminder that with time and the additional personal touches we can add to the ordering process, we have the opportunity to WOW our customers and land some massive orders. Great job Sam, Jenny, Kris, Alissa and the whole crew!

BYUI – Light The World Campaign

AlphaGraphics Idaho Falls was honored to print and install large window vinyl graphics at the MC Building on the BYU–Idaho campus for this year’s Light the World campaign. The artwork, provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, supports their global effort to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ by encouraging individuals to share His light through simple acts of kindness. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help bring this meaningful message to our community and to contribute to a display that inspires hope, service, and Christ-centered reflection during the Christmas season.

MARKETING / SALES CORNER

This month’s focus on print marketing collateral gives us a great opportunity to highlight the products that help our customers look more professional, stay visible, and connect meaningfully with their audiences. While the marketing team is driving the campaign, every department plays an important role in helping us expand our reach and increase customer engagement.

Here’s how our full team—production, customer service, sales, design, and admin—can support the campaign and strengthen our message.

Know the Products Well Enough to Talk About Them Confidently

You don’t need to be in marketing to make an impact. The more familiar everyone is with our featured products—books and booklets, brochures, flyers, rack cards, newsletters, presentation folders, and engineering prints—the more natural it becomes to bring them up in everyday interactions.

Simple moments can spark new opportunities. For example:

  • When reviewing a job order, mention related products that might pair well.
  • When handing a customer their prints, highlight fast turnaround or premium finishes they may not know we offer.
  • When answering the phone, listen for clues indicating a customer might need additional marketing materials.

Every conversation is a chance to help customers see how print can support their goals.

Be an Advocate for Our Mission

Our mission is clear: We make companies visible.
When we talk about our work with enthusiasm, customers feel that energy. Team members can reinforce this message by:

  • Sharing quick success stories (“Another client loved their booklet run today!”)
  • Pointing out how print helps businesses stand out
  • Using campaign language in casual conversations
Enthusiasm spreads. When customers hear confidence from every part of our team—not just sales—they trust us more.

Help Identify Cross-Selling Opportunities

You see things sales and marketing may not. If you spot a chance for a customer to benefit from another product, share it. For example:

  • If a customer orders blueprints, they may also need safety signage or presentation folders.
  • A client printing flyers may also need rack cards or booklets for an upcoming event.
  • Someone updating brochures may benefit from a refreshed business card design.

Your observations help us serve customers better and open doors for new work.

Promote Our Work Through Quality and Pride

Every finished job is a marketing piece for us. When customers receive flawless, high-quality materials, they become our advocates. Attention to detail, helpful communication, and pride in workmanship all contribute to customer loyalty—and loyal customers spread the word.

Share and Celebrate Campaign Wins

If you notice a customer reacting positively to a product, let the marketing or sales team know. These stories help fuel more content, refine messaging, and motivate the entire organization. Your insights help us understand what resonates and where we can grow.

Together, We Extend Our Reach

Marketing doesn’t only happen in campaigns—it happens in every interaction our customers have with us. When every team member understands the value of our products and supports the message behind them, we become stronger, more aligned, and more effective as a company.

Your voice matters, your observations matter, and your enthusiasm helps us continue making companies visible in our communities.
