New Year’s Message
“We help businesses stand out and be remembered. We make companies visible.”
Eldon Harston
Aligning for Growth: Leadership Updates to Support Our Purpose and Mission
As Speedy CPS continues to grow and looks at future growth, we’re making thoughtful updates to our leadership structure to stay aligned, nimble, and intentional. These changes are designed to help us better deliver on our Core Purpose and Mission, while keeping strong, direct connections between leadership and our Center teams.
At our core, we exist to create opportunities for our team members and communities to grow and succeed. We do that by helping businesses stand out and be remembered. We make companies visible. To continue delivering on that promise—especially as technology evolves and customer expectations rise—we need a structure that supports speed, collaboration, and clarity without adding unnecessary layers.
What’s Changing (Effective January 1)
We are moving away from the formal three-region structure and aligning our businesses into focused divisions that reflect how we serve customers today and how we plan to grow tomorrow.
Alphagraphics Print Division
All AlphaGraphics Centers and the Rigby Speedy CPS location will operate under the AlphaGraphics Print Division, led by Phil Davis, whose new title will be Executive Vice President – AlphaGraphics Print Division. Phil’s primary focus will be helping centers grow sales and market share, developing strong local leaders, and supporting the implementation of processes, training, and technology that improve speed, accuracy, and consistency across our print operations.
Within the AlphaGraphics Division, Mike Price now fills the role of Sales Consultant, and Brian Hunter moves into a new role as Operations Consultant. Aligning onto this team as well, Adam Bostrom will continue in his role of Marketing Manager. All three will coordinate with and work to help General Managers execute on their location’s sales, growth, and efficiency objectives. You will be seeing additional specific details about these and related changes over the coming days from Phil and his team.
Permitted Sign Division (Graphik)
Graphik will function as its own business unit—the Permitted Sign Division—led by Aaron Maravilla, Director of Operations. This change recognizes the unique complexity of permitted signage, fabrication, and installation, while allowing Graphik to continue working closely with AlphaGraphics locations as a sister company and preferred provider for large signs and installation support. Nikelle Thompson will be leading out in Sales under Aaron’s direction at Graphik to help accelerate new sales growth, new markets, and market share.
These company divisions will help us focus appropriate resources and strategy respectively, positioning each for continued expansion.
Automation & Innovation Department
In parallel, we’ve created an Automation and Innovation Department, led by Walt Baker as Chief Information Officer, with Dan Baker serving as Head of Innovation. This team’s mission is simple: improve speed and accuracy across people, processes, and systems. Walt and Dan will support all divisions through automation technology, innovation in products and workflows (including AI), sales enablement tools, and IT/help desk resources.
A helpful way to think about this new Divisional and Department structure: the Automation & Innovation team will identify, test, and refine improvements, while the Division teams led by Phil and Aaron will implement, execute, and operationalize them. Ongoing collaboration and feedback between teams will be essential to ensure solutions are practical, usable, and continuously improving.
These changes position Speedy CPS to stay responsive, deepen our capabilities, and continue delivering personalized service, speed, and a broad set of visibility solutions to our customers. We don’t just print. We propel. And we’re excited about what’s ahead.
Eldon Harston
Integrator
AlphaGraphics Division

Phil Davis
Executive Vice President – AlphaGraphics Division
Phil is a 30-plus year veteran of the printing industry with deep experience in international operations, entrepreneurship, and franchise leadership. He began his career operating Kinko’s centers internationally, spending more than a decade working in Japan, South Korea, and Australia, where he developed a strong foundation in operations, customer experience, and team leadership within a global brand.
Following Kinko’s, Phil joined Flow International, where he ran the Asia Pacific division. In this role, he gained extensive experience scaling operations, driving profitability, and leading teams across multiple countries and cultures.
Phil later founded ZDocs in Salt Lake City, Utah, a self-publishing company focused on short-run book printing. Through ZDocs, he helped hundreds of authors self-publish their work while building a successful niche manufacturing business centered on quality, service, and operational discipline.
Phil went on to join AlphaGraphics Corporate, where he focused on helping owners grow book publishing revenue. During his time at corporate, he also served as an Operating Partner to 29 AlphaGraphics centers, working closely with owners and leadership teams to improve sales performance, operational execution, and overall profitability.
In 2016, Phil partnered with Lynn Nelson to purchase the Provo and Lehi AlphaGraphics centers. Together, they focused on building strong teams, expanding capabilities, and growing sustainable businesses designed to create opportunity for both employees and customers. Most recently, Phil’s responsibility was running Region 3 for Speedy CPS.
Phil is now excited to support the AlphaGraphics division and General Managers in his new role. He believes that strong businesses are built through ownership thinking, accountability, and investing in people, and he is passionate about helping leaders build healthy cultures and run profitable, well-managed businesses.

Brian Hunter
Operations Consultant
Brian Hunter is a 25-plus year veteran of the printing and signage industries. He began his career as a Customer Service Representative at AlphaGraphics #12 in Tucson, during the time the AlphaGraphics headquarters was still located in Arizona. In 2001, he relocated with AlphaGraphics to Salt Lake City, where he worked for the AG corporate office for almost 14 years.
During his tenure at AlphaGraphics, Brian held various positions, including several years as a New Store Opener, where he helped launch over 40 new AlphaGraphics business centers. He was heavily involved in training, running the New Franchisee Training program for a number of years. His other notable contributions to the AG world included managing the ISO and FSC programs, assisting with the planning and execution of 13 AlphaGraphics conventions, and initiating corporate relationships with companies like Corebridge and Survey Advantage (now Loyalty Loop).
Brian left AlphaGraphics in 2013 to join Alliance Franchise Brands as a Business Consultant for seven years. In this role, he was responsible for a region spanning Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. He also managed special projects with larger centers, which involved extensive travel across the country. Over his career, Brian has traveled to 43 states and worked with hundreds of business owners from brands including AlphaGraphics, Allegra, Image360, Signs Now, and Signs by Tomorrow.
In 2020, Brian launched his own business, True Install, a sign and graphics installation company. Despite starting at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, the business grew significantly, with revenues rising from $108,000 in the first year to $540,000 in the second. Created in partnership with Alliance Franchise Brands, True Install was developed as a franchise model and now has six franchises nationwide. Brian decided the franchise wasn’t for him and he closed the business at the beginning of 2025 and joined Graphik as their Installation Manager.
Brian is now excited to return to his consulting roots, joining Speedy CPS as an Operations Consultant. He lives in South Jordan, UT, with his wife and four children.

Mike Price
Sales Consultant
Mike Price is a seasoned professional in the print and copy services industry with a career spanning major brands and entrepreneurial ventures. He began building his expertise at Kinko’s, where he gained hands-on experience in customer service, production workflows, and large-format printing. Mike’s experience with Kinko’s spans from Customer Service Representative and Key Operator to positions in Center Management (Center and Opening Manager of the first Kinko’s in 2000) as well as Training and Development Manager for the Inland Northwest Region.
This foundation led him to a key role at AlphaGraphics, where he expanded his skill set in business operations, print sales, and client relationship management. Mike has assisted in opening over 20 AlphaGraphics locations as well as aiding with the ownership transition and training of several AlphaGraphics Franchisees. Mike’s focus on technology and process, and making technology and tools accessible for users, has allowed him to excel as a consultant and project manager.
Driven by a passion for efficiency and innovation in print technology, Mike joined SpeedyCPS in 2022, where he now contributes his over 30 years of industry knowledge to support operational excellence and service delivery. Across every role, he’s known for blending practical production, sales and managerial experience with a strategic mindset. Mike thrives when helping teams streamline processes, enhance quality, and exceed client expectations.
Mike holds a reputation for leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement in the competitive world of print and communications services. We’re excited to have Mike on our team as our new Sales and Marketing Consultant.

Adam Bostrom
Marketing Manager / Consultant
Adam lives just outside Idaho Falls, Idaho, and brings 16 years of experience in the print and signage industry, 14 of those working for AlphaGraphics in various capacities. With a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing, he combines creative expertise with strategic marketing leadership.
Starting out as a graphic designer, Adam quickly saw a growing need for stronger marketing support and shifted focus to help fill that gap. For the past 10+ years, he has managed marketing efforts for AlphaGraphics, while also leading the graphic design team and the print portal teams.
In his Marketing Management and Consulting role, Adam will support centers by helping them plan, execute, and measure the success of their marketing and advertising investments—ensuring efforts are both effective and results-driven.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time outdoors, is married to a wonderful spouse, and is the proud parent of three energetic boys. In addition, he shares a passion for education by teaching graphic design as an adjunct professor at BYU–Idaho.
Known for a thoughtful, collaborative approach and a drive to always improve, Adam brings both experience and vision to this role. We’re excited to see the continued impact he will make as our Marketing Management and Consulting resource, helping our centers grow stronger through smart, strategic marketing.
Center Employee Spotlight

Kelly Bowcutt
Chief Operator
Many years ago we decided to bring offset lithography in-house in Idaho Falls. After our initial foray using a Ryobi press we upgraded to a top of the line Heidelberg 52 Anicolor press. Since then our offset capability and capacity has grown leaps and bounds during a downturn in the industry when many shops were going the other direction by shuttering their offset printing lines and starting to look at more digital equipment. A big part of our success with this product is due in large part to our chief operator Kelly Bowcutt.
Kelly started his career working at another local shop here in town and we were able to hire him with some prior experience in the printing industry. He initially ran the Heidelberg 52 Anicolor press and easily transitioned to the larger XL-75 model we purchased in 2017. During his 13+ year tenure Kelly has always had an excellent grasp of the technology side as well as the mechanics and craft of this style of printing. He has likely trained more individuals over the years on this gear than any other individual or area within our shop.
Kelly’s skill set is not limited to offset printing due to his technical nature and mechanical inclinations. He has become a valuable asset at troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues of all kinds and helps quite a bit within our bindery section setting up complicated folds and helping train operators with die cutting and finishing. His ability on the computer side of the shop is invaluable as he now has taken on the added responsibilities of doing all pre-press work for our offset work and his experience running the press provides him unique insights on how to best setup work with the right printers marks and layouts for the best inking and finishing of the projects. He recently took on the task of being the key operator on our new DTF printer and finishing unit and has a good depth of knowledge in fixing and getting difficult files to image correctly. He’s been a huge asset to the company and we’re grateful he’s stuck with us through thick and thin.
Core Values Spotlight
We create opportunities to help people grow and succeed

We stive to learn and advance
We must evolve and change to stay relevant and competitive in the market. We embrace new ideas and technology. We are willing to take risks and try new things to meet customer needs, streamline workflow, and increase efficiency and profitability.

Kelly Andrus
Account Manager
One out of the many of our talented and dedicated individuals is Kelly Andrus. She strives to provide the best products and services to our customers and is often working to ensure she has the best solution both in terms of targeting what the customer is looking for along with producing it in the most effective fashion. She is constantly looking for ways to do it better.
A recent pocket folder project with one of the colleges in the area did not turn out well. She acknowledged the issue and assured the customer we could fix the issue but the customer still needed them quickly. She rolled up her sleeves and went to work coordinating the efforts of several teams to salvage anything worth saving, then assisted in ensuring a fix was sent back out in a timely fashion. I’ve often heard from customers that things do go wrong but it’s how you deal with it that counts. A recent comment from one of her customers sums it up: ” Working with Kelly Andrus and the team at AlphaGraphics was a very worthwhile experience, as their professionalism and ability to deliver a large project with strong quality control were evident.”
Project Spotlights
Wild Sheep Foundation Perfect Bound Magazine
Recently we were given an opportunity to provide extra visibility to the Idaho Wild Sheep Foundation. They put out
a semi-annual magazine to all members highlighting different hunts and showcasing new gear and developments and asked for our assistance in getting this in their members hands.
This particular project’s run length made the most sense as
a offset press run but this presented some unique challenges at putting the sheets of the book in order
(gathering) after the print run. The job was first prepped
and imposed as 8pp signatures, then plated. Since one
plate is required for each color on each side of the press
sheet a total of 208 plates were required – nearly 18 hours
of time just plating the project! The plates were loaded on
the press one signature at a time and printed. After drying
the sheets were taken as full size sheets (no trimming) and
folded and perforated down to 8pp signatures. This created
26 pallets of material that were then gathered to create the
book blocks – no small feat. The blocks were perfect bound
and 3-knife trimmed to give it a “perfect” look, then
poly-wrapped and addressed to mail. Our customer was
ecstatic with the result.

< The book being setup for printing within our offset press
workflow. This project was printed as 8pp signatures on
19×25 press sheets. We utilized small take-o bars on the tail of the sheet to balance the inking of the sheet better as well as collating, side lay, folding, color control, and trim marks to
monitor and control the printing on press as well as assist in
assembling the final product.
An 8pp signature laid out flat. Note the head to toe orientation of the pages that once folded will all be in reading order.
This collating mark indicates that this is signature 1 out of 26. During binding the center gutter is ground off the spine by a milling blade which opens up the paper fibers and provides additional surface area for the glue.
The signature is perforated in-line along the spine while folding to ensure it is flat. The perforation also allows air to
escape more readily.

< 26 Individual 8pp signatures went into making this book.
Collating Marks indicating correct pagination. The mark is placed over the fold of the signature so it can easily be seen from the spine edge of the book to verify it’s in the correct order
Finished Product after all steps were completed. Printing,
folding, gathering, binding, and trimming. This product was
then poly wrapped and addressed to be mailed.

Many Thanks to all of our employees
As a small token of his appreciation, Lynn visited centers across the region to personally deliver AlphaGraphics and Graphik branded blankets. Thank you, Lynn, for making the rounds and sharing the love—these blankets are a team favorite!

Marketing Tip
Marketing Tip: Sales + Marketing Work Better Together
Marketing and advertising create awareness, but sales activity is what turns that attention into real opportunities. The most successful campaigns are the ones followed by consistent, intentional sales follow-up—calls, emails, visits, and conversations that build relationships and move prospects forward. Without that follow-up, even the best marketing can fall flat.
This year, Mike Price and I will be working closely with centers to help grow and retain customers by aligning sales activities with marketing efforts. We know sales and outreach can feel uncomfortable or intimidating at times, but we’ll be focused on developing tools, processes, and habits that make these activities easier, more natural, and more effective in your day-to-day work. Small, consistent actions paired with smart marketing make a big difference—and we’re here to help every step of the way.

Wishing Blair Barnhurst Well in Retirement

Blair Barnhurst, who has been part of our success for decades, officially retired on January 5th. I first met Blair in 2013 when he was our paper representative while working at Veritiv. Even then, it was clear he brought a level of professionalism, knowledge, and care that set him apart.
In 2020, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to bring Blair onto our team. Over the years, he served in several roles, including large format and account management, consistently stepping in wherever he was needed. When we relocated our Orem center, Blair took on the role of General Manager—and did such an outstanding job that we asked him to lead both the Orem and American Fork locations.
I am deeply grateful for the many years of service, leadership, and dedication Blair has given to our company. He will truly be missed.
The good news for us is that when Blair isn’t out riding his side-by-side, working in his wood shop, or spending time with his grandkids, he’ll still be helping our Utah County teams with site surveys. So while he may be retired, it’s fair to say he’s only semi-retired.
