“Scrappy teams don’t fear change-they drive it.”

Anonymous

This September I am coming up on my 11th year mark with Speedy CPS. From starting out stuffing Cal-Ranch mailers in Rigby after school, to driving to Jackson Hole twice a week, to now managing the St. George location; there’s one constant in the past 11 years—it’s change. Lately, we’ve seen a lot of it: new customers, new technologies, new teammates, new locations. Growth like this doesn’t just happen. It takes a team rooted in Humanity, striving for Excellence, and committed to Evolving every single day.

We all know change can feel uncomfortable at times. Whether it’s a shift in process, new leadership, or a busier production schedule, it challenges the way we work. But here’s the truth: change is the engine behind our success. It’s how we deliver faster than anyone else. It’s how we continue to expand our breadth of products. It’s how we maintain that personal touch that keeps our customers coming back. We all know the print shop around the corner that shut down because they never changed (think aprons and terrible customer service).

Why Embracing Change Matters:

  • We’re growing for a reason – Customers are choosing us because we’re not afraid to adapt and move fast.
  • New opportunities = new skills – Every change brings a chance to develop and grow in your role, or excel at a new one.
  • Staying scrappy wins – Being scrappy isn’t about chaos; it’s about rolling with the punches, solving problems creatively, and showing up for each other and our customers.

How to Lean Into Change

  • Stay curious – Ask questions. Understand the “why” behind the shifts.
  • Support each other – Remember our first value: Humanity. Be patient and encouraging.
  • Own your development – The more we each learn, the stronger our whole team becomes.

Employee Spotlight

William Poulsen

Graphic Designer

I’m William. I’m from Utah. I got into photography on a family trip to Denmark. I guess Denmark was so photogenic, I had no choice. Now I live in St. George, where the sun is always trying to photobomb. I take black-and-white pictures because color is too needy. I studied multimedia at Utah Valley — that’s where I learned to make pixels behave. Then I worked in mobile accessories. Because someone has to make phone cases look cool.

In my spare time, I collect weird tiny books. One of them is just a bunch of one-liners from a New York cab driver. That book is basically a spiritual brother to me. Also, I pick up driftwood. Because it’s like nature’s free sculpture. I’m artistic, adventurous, book-hoardy, and have a thing for wood that floats. That’s me!

We create opportunities to help people grow and succeed

Scrappy
Scrappy

(Self-starter, Committed, Enthusiastic, Initiative, Hard-Working)

We have a get-it-done, do-whatever-it-takes attitude. We are willing to go the extra mile and push through the opposition to achieve the desired results. We are problem-solvers; willing to accept challenges. We thrive on making it happen for our customers.

Cody Meyer

Title: LFT/Installs

Scrappy-For the first four months of the year, our Large Format and installs averaged 18% of our sales in St. George, over the past two months that has jumped to 26%. A large portion of that higher workload fell to Cody. Coming in early and staying late he helped to get all of our big wrap projects completed and out the door on time. (Also big shout out to the full team in St. George as they backstopped work at the shop while Cody and Robbie were installing)

Project Spotlights

Unlimited Construction Remediation – Trailer Wrap

Unlimited Construction Remediation Trailer wraps: June is generally pretty slow for us. We were bailed out this year by our large format department. So far for this customer, we have wrapped 1x 46′ and 2 16′ trailers, he has 1 more 16′ trailer and two service trucks we’ll be doing full wraps on as well. As a brand new customer in May they have spend almost $23,000 with us these past two months.

Design Tip

Scheduling a Design Consultation

As I’ve been visiting our centers, I’ve noticed that some of us have either forgotten or never knew about our design consultation policy. This article is a helpful reminder to make sure we’re all on the same page—and making the most of this valuable service for our customers.

What Is a Design Consultation?

We offer 30-minute design consultations, either virtually or in-person (where designers are available onsite). This is a paid service at $44 per session, and it’s designed to give our customers a focused, creative space to talk through their ideas with a designer.

Important: To protect the designer’s creative process and prep time, consultations must be scheduled at least 2 hours in advance.

Who Books the Appointment?

The Salesperson or CSR is responsible for booking the consultation on behalf of the customer. The booking links are for internal use only and should never be sent directly to the customer.

How to Fill Out the Booking Form

When booking a consultation, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Use the customer’s name and phone number but use your email in the form fields.
(By using your email instead of your customer’s it allows you to add their email address after the appointment is scheduled. If you use their email address than you won’t have the opportunity to get the booking link.)
  2. After you receive the calendar invite, edit the calendar invite in your own Google Calendar and add your customer’s email address in the “Add guests” field–then save the event.
  3. Be present at the consultation! Your participation ensures any order-related questions are captured and next steps are clearly understood.

Pro Tip: Your involvement helps keep projects on track and builds trust with the customer.

Booking Links (Bookmark What You Use!)

Please bookmark the links that make the most sense for your center:

Let’s Keep It Creative and Customer-Focused

These consultations give our designers a chance to shine—and give our customers an awesome experience. By following the process, we’re making the most of both time and talent.

Thanks for helping us keep things smooth and professional!
