“We should strive to overwhelm the opposition with a body of work they simply can’t ignore.”

Dan ADAMSON

During World War II the German’s made an absolutely incredible tank. By all accounts this tank was top of the line, very sophisticated, with all the latest tech. It was called the Panther. WW2 nerds to this day fawn over its capabilities and power. At the time, the Panther was considered the pinnacle of so-called German engineering.

Over here in the good ol’ USA, we made the Sherman. It was a straightforward, relatively crude tank, and certainly didn’t have all the bells and whistles of the Panther. Nothing special, but it got the job done.

The Germans took 6 months to manufacture a single Panther Tank from beginning to end, altogether building roughly 6,000 Panthers total by the time the Nazis were defeated. The Americans on the other hand were producing a Sherman every half-hour, and at our peak, we produced 2,000 Shermans a month. Creating almost 50,000 in our short tenure of involvement in the war.

We all know who won that war.

I think there’s a good story here and it’s applicable to our situation at SpeedyCPS. We don’t want to produce bad work, or thoughtless estimates. After all, one of our Core Values is Excellence, but with that being said, we still want to produce with speed. If customers are waiting on us for estimates, that’s a problem. If customers keep ringing us up to find when their project will be completed, that’s a problem. We should be moving so fast they don’t want to go with anyone else. We should be producing so much each month that our competitors just simply can’t keep up, even if they have more sophisticated technology. We should strive to overwhelm the opposition with a body of work they simply can’t ignore.

Jason Manley

AG-American Fork Store Assistant Manager

Jason started with Alpha Graphics in the fall of 2022. In his past life, he was a manager and instructor at a martial arts studio. He’s been working in customer service since he was 16 and enjoys helping others. He brings this battle-hardened veracity and kindhearted approach to our customers at AlphaGraphics American Fork each and every day.

He started as a CSR in American Fork, and ask anyone, American Fork has a lot of walk-in traffic and phone calls. He learned through trial by fire and has emerged as a customer service warrior! He’s fast-learning and handles the majority of those specialty Gold & White ink requests we have throughout the company. Scrappy is his middle name. Recently we’ve promoted him to assistant manager of American Fork. He’s been a rockstar in the role and we’re all very excited to see what he’ll accomplish next.

Core Values Spotlight

Quality Work, Integrity, Responsibility, Accountability, and Exceptional

We take ownership for what we do!

We strive for positive attitudes and personal best in our job and all areas of life. We are accountable for our time, our work, our actions, and our stewardship of company resources. Owning and fixing mistakes helps us become better and improve.

Liz Sarka

Account Manager

We all know that one person who is just a cut above the rest. They excel in what they put their mind to and simply seem to move at a speed that’s incredibly difficult to compete with. Liz is that person. She is excellent in so many ways. Customers love her speed and communication. Production loves her accurate work orders with clear instructions. Management loves her consistency and dependability. Operations loves her exceptionally low number of redo orders and leadership loves her outstanding sales numbers. Liz had a personal record sales month in January despite our sluggish sales overall. She’s always finding more efficient ways to do her job at a peak level of performance. We love Liz!

Project Spotlight

BYU

Location: American Fork

BYU retired Ferdetts #32 at a recent event. We did the light up acrylic number as well as an acrylic sign for the podium with blue vinyl. It was magical. (By we, I mean our awesome team at South Salt Lake & Jason Wunderlich!)

Equipment Spotlight

Skandacor Lion Auto Laminator

Our new shiny machine is a self-feeding laminator; The Lion from Skandacor. We’re still learning the intricacies of its capabilities and limitations, but so far, it’s truly helped us with some very large jobs. Most recently we did a project for the Helena store that needed over 4,000 sheets of 12 x 18 laminated. I’m not going to say it was easy. Candice worked hard on getting this one done, but the results were fabulous. Once the machine was dialed in, it was just swimming through those stacks of paper.

Marketing Tip

The Power of a Simple Like & Share

We work hard to create strong, consistent social media content that highlights our products, our people, and the value we bring to businesses every day. But the real momentum happens when our team gets involved.

When you like, comment on, or share one of our posts, it does more than show support. It directly increases how many people see it. Social platforms reward engagement. The more interaction a post gets, the more it shows up in other people’s feeds. That means more visibility, more brand awareness, and more potential leads.

It’s one of the easiest ways you can help grow our reach — and it only takes a few seconds.

Why It Matters

  • It expands our audience beyond our current followers
  • It builds credibility when people see real employees engaging
  • It increases organic reach without spending more on ads
  • It keeps our brand top-of-mind in our communities

When prospects see our team actively supporting and sharing our content, it reinforces that we’re proud of what we do.

Example: South Salt Lake Facebook Post

Here’s a recent example from our South Salt Lake location:

Post Example:
🤝 Our team collaborates through every stage of a project, from initial concept to final production. Each step matters. Each team member plays a role. And every detail is intentional. ✨

How You Might Share It

When you click “Share,” adding your own short message makes it even more impactful. It feels personal and authentic.

Here’s an example of what someone might say when sharing:

“One of the things I appreciate most about working here is how much teamwork goes into every project. From the first idea to final production, everyone plays a part in making sure the details are right. Proud to be part of a team that truly collaborates to deliver great results.”

It doesn’t have to be long. A sentence or two is perfect.

A Simple Challenge

The next time you see a post from your location — or any of our locations — take a moment to interact with it. Like it. Leave a quick comment. Share it with a short note.

Small actions from each of us create a big impact together.
